    What are you talking about? I'm not generalizing from an isolated incident. Have you not seen how people go "but false accusations!" at nearly every discussion of rape where it is suggested rape victims ought to be taken seriously?

    This forum is for intelligent debate and discussion, not for just posting whatever poorly-thought-out sentiments you have on the subject and then going "well, it's just my opinion!" when challenged. If you're not prepared to argue your position with logic, you don't belong in a debate on it...

    I realize that, but that's why I said when all parties involved are aware. I like to think of this as a problem with individuals who think of rape in this way more than with the jokes, per se, hence why murder jokes are less distasteful not because the joke itself is that conceptually different...
